Nuclear Free South Asia

[tab name = "Introduction"]

The terrible tragedy that befell Japan lead to their resolve for nuclear non-proliferation. Pakistan ought to learn a lesson and commit to nuclear disarmament. In a climate of social and political unrest with poverty, unemployment, illiteracy plaguing the country, Pakistan is certainly in no position to support a nuclear program that poses a threat to world peace, our own security and is devastating for the environment.

It is time we set our priorities right and focus on the progress and prosperity of our nation and the well-being of its people. This is no time for silence. In the words of Howard Zinn, “You can’t be neutral on a moving train.” We must all join hands to rid the country and the planet of of the most destructive creation of all times!

IPSS has been continually campaigning for a Nuclear Free South Asia ans had organized vigils and demonstrations to raise awareness against the looming nuclear shadow in this region.
