PROTEST – STOP PERSECUTION THROUGH BLASPHEMY LAWS

Institute for Peace and Secular Studies (IPSS) arranged a protest against Blasphemy Laws and persecution of minorities on November 28, 2010 at Mall Road, Lahore. People from all walks of life participated in the protest. The participants raised slogans for the repeal of section 295-C and other discriminatory laws from Pakistan Penal Code.  The participants demanded that the state must stop the persecution of minorities through Blasphemy Laws. They further demanded that the state must provide equal citizenship rights to members of all minority communities and it must abolish all such laws and policies that reduce Pakistani minorities to second class citizens.
